A video emerged online showing a cyclist who wasn’t wearing a helmet, cycling against the flow of traffic and being knocked down by a van.

The black van, which was making a right turn from the second lane, then knocked down the cyclist while turning in and failing to stop in time.
The elderly cyclist was seen remaining on the ground as the van reversed before stopping.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said that they were alerted to the accident on 24 December at about 10.30pm along 10 North Bridge Road.
The cyclist was sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital conscious, and police investigations are ongoing.
