This will be the first time there will be flights from Singapore to Beijing since service between the two cities were halted back on 28 March 2020.

The latest development comes in the wake of China lifting its zero-Covid policy and removing their lockdowns, quarantine and travel restrictions.

However, China is seeing a sharp increase in Covid cases, and the Chinese National Health Commission said on 25 December that they will no longer release data pertaining to the cases, which has been published daily over the last 3 years.

A spokesperson from SIA told Mothership that their utmost priority remains the health and safety of their customers and staff members.
