I was minding my own business, sitting in my cubicle, working on a project when I got the news. The manager of the floor had caught a co-worker sleeping in the bathroom for four hours. I was shocked. How could someone do something like that?
I had seen the guy around the office a few times. He wasn’t a part of any team, and he seemed to keep to himself. I had never interacted with him, so I didn’t know much about him. I had heard that he was an intern, but I wasn’t sure if that was true.
When I heard the news, I assumed that the guy had been fired. That seemed like the logical thing to do. But then, I heard that he had been given a second chance. My manager had decided to give him a second chance and let him keep his job.
