A netizen going by the alias of Yvonne Lim on Facebook recently shared that she had ordered food delivery from the FoodPanda app and received her milk tea order with almost 3/4 spillage.
Offered 20 cents refund by FoodPanda
According to her post, she was offered a 20 cents refund on her drink and also given a compensation voucher of $3 which can be used on another order between 9 Feb 2023 to 9 Mar 2023.
All this were communicated with her via FoodPanda’s chat bot which was tended by a ‘Catherine’.

“Food panda, spillage 3/4 of the milk tea. compensate only $0.20. Who would order meal if not because of the drinks”
Deems the compensation as useless
In reply to comments by a netizen who asked her if she did not consider the $3 voucher as a compensation, she said that the the $3 voucher can only be used on orders.
This means that if she did not order again from FoodPanda, the $3 voucher would be as good as not receiving anything.

- This kind of lid is not leak-proof unlike those sealed bbt. Somemore when riding bike, the liquid will not be stagnant so it’s normal to have spillage. I was once a delivery rider so I understand, maybe you should try being a delivery rider so you will understand from their shoes as well. If I were you, I will just pour the tea back into the cup from the plastic bag and continue to drink. Just sharing my thoughts, cheers.
