A video emerged online showing an accident that took place along MacPherson road, involving a white Mercedes that was speeding.
The speeding Mercedes was seen pummeling through the road, before hitting a car, spinning out of control and hitting another vehicle.
One of the other cars that was hit by the Mercedes then flew off the road upon impact and hit a cyclist who was riding on the pavement; a lorry was also hit as well.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force confirmed that 2 people were sent to the hospital following the accident.
In the dashcam footage that has been circulating online, the white Mercedes was seen speeding down the right lane along MacPherson Road.
It then crashed into a black SUV outside an Esso petrol station, before losing control of the vehicle and crashing into another black car ahead.
The black car then hit a couple of pedestrians on the pavement, and the white Mercedes was then seen flipped upside down after the crash.
Passers-by could also be seen rushing to help the injured after the collision, with a netizen claiming that the injured cyclist was her mother.
The netizen said that her mother, who was cycling on the pavement when she got hit by the car, is currently in the hospital, and she is seeking witnesses.
The SCDF said that they were alerted to the accident on 18 February at about 3.35 pm, near 110 MacPherson Road, and conveyed one person to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and another to Raffles Hospital.
