TikTok user @eunicecatx shared how she received a message from her friend, saying that he was a victim of a hit-and-run accident and was at the police station reporting it to the police.
He sent her some photos of his car’s front bumper, looking scratched as a result of the alleged hit-and-run accident.
Eunice then received a photo of the police report that was filed by the driver at Orchard Neighbourhood Police Centre.
The police reviewed the man’s dashcam footage in a bid to find the hit-and-run driver, but upon reviewing the footage, it seems the driver himself was the one who scratched his own car.
He had grazed the wall at the carpark while driving up the ramp, grazing it not once but twice.
Amused by the incident. the police reportedly told the man to watch his own dashcam and that he can find the driver responsible when he gets home.
The netizen said that her friend had checked the dashcam footage before making the police report, but only checked the part of the video after he parted with his car. He had wrongly assumed that the car was hit after it had been parked.
The driver was “shocked” when he found out that he was the one responsible for his car’s scratches, thinking that he had run over the curb.
@eunicecatx He reported himself to the police during Christmas 🤣 #fyp #funnyvideos #hitandrun #humor ♬ Oh No – Kreepa
