News portal Thaivisa has learnt that immigration officials at a numerous border checkpoints across Thailand are enquiring some people incoming into the republic on a tourist visa to show Bt20,000 in cash.
As the amplified inspection is to clamp down on foreigners who officials find questionable looking to work in Thailand illegally and are not real tourists.
Out of the list the one under the most concentrated inspection are people entering Thailand multiple times with a tourist visa/student/ ED visa holders.
