MAN’S JB HOTEL ROOM DOOR CAN BE OPENED WITHOUT KEY, SPENT WHOLE NIGHT ON HIGH ALERT

TikTok user Lawrens Tan, shared how he travelled to Johor Bahru during a recent trip and stayed at the KSL Hotel and Resort, but things soon turned awry for him.

Upon checking into his hotel room, he soon found out that his hotel room door could be easily opened by other people without a key card.

He documented the whole incident and demonstrated how anyone could enter his hotel room by simply turning the handle of the door.

Tan said that he later informed the hotel staff about the problem but nobody came to help him fix the door or get him another room, with only a staff member coming up and briefly assessing the door.

He was afraid of intruders and spent the entire night watching over the door to make sure nobody unwelcome came into his room by handing a bunch of hangers on the door’s safety latch to secure the door.

He captioned his video:

You do not need a key card. Just turn the knob and you can go in already and they said it’s a deluxe room.

Highlighted the issue immediately to the reception and all we got is find him then he said find another one. So no one came to rectify the entire night.

We had to really try and use hangers as a safety precaution but of course had to be on alert the entire night. This is the 1st time we encountered this and hope it doesn’t happen to anyone.

I honestly think I will think twice again for this hotel.”
