SIA AIR STEWARDESS ALLEGEDLY PENGSAN & FELL ON SYDNEY-S’PORE FLIGHT, TOH ON THE FLOOR

A video emerged online showing someone lying down on the ground along the aisle of a Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight from Sydney to Singapore on Wednesday (12 April), with the netizen who took the video claiming that it was of an air stewardess.

The netizen who took the video captioned it: “SIA air stewardess passing out inflight from Sydney to Singapore. Pray she will be well.”

In the roughly 30-second long video, a person could be seen lying down on the floor along the aisle, with a pillow being placed under her head.

The woman was seen in the video being surrounded by other passengers who were rendering aid to her, with another air stewardess also coming forward to help.

SIA clarifies incident

Responding to the incident, the Singapore Airlines said that a passenger was unwell during the flight, and 2 of their cabin crew also fell down on the same flight.

However, it is not clear who the collapsed person seen in the video was.

SIA added that their cabin crew didn’t require medical attention after the fall and were deemed fit enough to carry on with their duties for the rest of the flight from Sydney to Singapore.

They confirmed that the incident took place on their flight SQ232, flying from Sydney to Singapore, on 11 April, and that the passenger who was unwell on the flight had received medical assistance.

The passenger was subsequently determined to be fit to continue with the rest of the flight and was advised to get medical attention after the flight reached Singapore.

The two cabin crew who fell had fallen because of the incident but didn’t sustain any injuries.

SIA also added that they cannot provide more information about the incident so as to protect the privacy of their passengers and staff members.
