Three 13-year-old girls were allegedly gang raped by four teenage boys at a Malaysia lodging house after being lured to “try out some new vape flavours”, according to The Star.
The Star reported that the assault took place on 26 April at a lodging house in Sabah, Malaysia.
The Malaysian police have since tracked down one of the boys responsible and arrested him along with another female accomplice, and police investigations are currently ongoing.
The police chief of Kota Kinabalu, Mohd Zaidi Abdullah, said that the female accomplice, a 17-year-old girl, had allegedly helped the four suspects to lure the victims by approaching them at a shopping centre.
They persuaded the three girls to come and hang out with them at their lodging house in Kampung Air, where they offered them to smoke some new flavours of vape devices.
The victim accepted the invitation to try the “vape” and lost consciousness before waking up in the middle of the night without any clothes on and discovering that the suspects were all gone.
One of the victims then lodged a police report and the police then managed to arrest all four alleged rapists and their female accomplice on 27 April after tracking them down.
Zaidi said in a statement that all the suspects were between the ages of 13 and 19, and that they were arrested in the Telipop Ria area in the Tuaran district as well as around the city.
The Kota Kinabalu police also discovered that the three victims were allegedly gang raped by the male suspects after receiving the police report from the first victim.
The suspects are currently in police remand until Friday (5 May) and are assisting the police with their investigations under the offences of rape and pimping, and at the time of writing, police investigations are currently still ongoing.
