The incident purportedly took place at a university in Klang Valley, Malaysia.

In the video, which is about 22 seconds long, the Malaysian student was seen wearing a light brown coloured hoodie and walking into a classroom.

He passed by a few of the students inside before whipping out his phone and facing the camera upwards from under the skirt of a girl who was going about her business at the table.

One of the other male students then realised what the guy was doing and hurriedly got up from his seat and confronted him, chasing after him and snatching his phone from him.

He was later seen being confronted by other male students, with the guy wearing a grey tee demanding to know the password to the guy’s phone, as the guy vehemently denied what he had done.

The guy then said “I admit, I admit,” confessing to what he had done as he got down on his knees, and the students told him “you admit no use,” as the other students dragged him away, with another female student exclaiming that she was going to inform the police about what happened.

Upskirting

Protecting yourself from upskirting:

  1. Be aware of your surroundings: Pay attention to the people around you and try to avoid crowded areas if possible. If you notice someone acting suspiciously, move away from them.
  2. Wear appropriate clothing: Wear clothing that is less revealing, and that doesn’t ride up easily. This can make it more difficult for someone to take an upskirt photograph.
  3. Carry a bag: If you’re wearing a skirt or dress, carry a bag in front of you to provide an additional barrier between you and potential upskirters.
  4. Speak out: If you witness someone taking an upskirt photograph or video, speak out immediately. Alert nearby authorities, and do not hesitate to report the incident to the police.

If you are a victim of upskirting, remember that it is not your fault. It’s essential to take the following steps to protect yourself:

  1. Seek support: Talk to someone you trust, such as a friend or family member, about what happened. You can also seek professional help from a therapist or counselor.
  2. Report the incident: Report the incident to the police as soon as possible. Be sure to provide as much information as possible about the perpetrator and the incident.
