TikTok user Rachel (@rache.lzh5) posted on her TikTok account sharing about how she had been receiving fake AI-generated obscene photos of herself from anonymous netizens.
She said in her video that she had received a message request on her Instagram account from an anonymous netizen who had edited her photo to make it look like she was not wearing anything.
She emphasised how she was fully clothed in the original photos that she posted, which was then used by the netizen to edit into something obscene using AI.
Rachel then posted a second update video, seated on the floor and looking very distressed, as she cried throughout the video with her makeup smeared from the crying.
She shared how after the received the fake photos of herself, she later received dozens of messages of the fake obscene photos with the watermarks removed.
The netizen who edited her photo had paid to remove the watermarks and distributed the fake AI-generated photos as though it was the real thing.
Rachel highlighted how one of the AI-generated photos showed a tattoo on her stomach, which she says she doesn’t have in real life.
She also emphasized how the AI-generated photos didn’t resemble her real body and that the photos were obviously fake, saying that “anything you see of me is edited or rake, none of that is real.”
Breaking down once again, she cried as she told her audience that she just wants people to know that the photos were not real as she asked the netizens to “please stop…”
Rachel appears to have developed a phobia of posting on social media, speaking with NextShark, she said that she found it disgusting that people she had never met before would want to see her without any clothes on and create them using AI.
She described the incident as messed up, disgusting, scary and nauseating; and added that she has also been receiving suggestive comments and DMs from netizens.
