MAN PUT ANGKONG ALREADY THEN FLEES TATTOO SHOP WITHOUT PAYING @ FAR EAST PLAZA

Inkvasion, a popular tattoo studio located in Far East Plaza, had a customer who fled without paying after getting a tattoo from them.

It all began on a seemingly ordinary Friday afternoon, June 30th, when a man named Arjune walked into Inkvasion with the intention of getting a unique tattoo.

Arjune, in his twenties and standing at about 175cm, had his sights set on a purple dagger design adorning the back of his arm. The agreed price for this intricate piece of art was S$600.

Tattoos, especially detailed ones, require time and precision. Arjune’s tattooing process commenced at 2pm and continued until 9pm, lasting a total of seven hours.

Once the tattoo was complete, Arjune excused himself, claiming he needed to use the restroom. However, he never returned.

Instead, he sent a text message to the studio explaining that something urgent had come up and he would make the payment via fund transfer later that day.

The studio, understanding but cautious, replied with the amount due—$500.

Sadly, that was the last the studio heard from Arjune. Despite the studio’s attempts to contact him for payment, Arjune blocked their messages.

This left the studio and its artist in a state of frustration and disbelief. The studio had invested not only time and effort but also supplies such as ink, gloves, and needles, which now seemed to be wasted.

Determined to prevent such incidents from happening again, Inkvasion decided to take action. They filed a police report, providing the authorities with Arjune’s full name and contact number obtained from his initial deposit through PayNow.

The studio also released a statement through a “Wanted” flyer, warning other tattoo artists and service providers about this individual’s actions.

Tattoo artists rely heavily on the income they earn from their craft. Unlike salaried professionals, they are compensated based on the sessions they complete.

By evading payment, Arjune not only cheated Inkvasion out of the money owed but also deprived the tattoo artist of valuable time that could have been spent serving other paying customers.
