A 16 year old teenager found himself to be the dinner of a swarm of sea fleas found in the waters of Brighton beach. When the teenager left the water, he found that his lower limbs were bleeding profusely. His father rushed him to hospital. Upon arrival, the doctors were left baffled at what they saw as it was a bizarre case.
According to a marine scientist, sea fleas can be found anywhere in the world and will only be attracted if there is a cut in the skin or if a person were to step on something that they were eating on. The scientist also mentioned that there is no cause of alarm and this should not deter anyone from swimming in the beach waters.
This was classified as a rare case. Anyone going there is advised to watch out for any dead animal carcasses in the water and avoid swimming at night.
