WOMAN SAYS S’POREANS ARE “LEGIT THE WORST DRIVERS IN THE WHOLE WORLD”

TikTok user Wendi Chan, who goes by the handle @pinkkittywendi, recently vented about her frustrations in a viral video. Without mincing words, she asserted that “Singaporeans are legit the worst drivers in the whole world okay.”

Wendi’s video not only resonated deeply with numerous netizens who shared her sentiments but also ignited a fervent debate. While the majority found themselves in agreement with her, others pointed fingers squarely at her.

Deciphering the Lane-Cutting Dilemma

One of the scenarios that Wendi highlighted revolves around a situation where a driver finds themselves needing to merge into an adjacent lane due to an obstruction caused by an accident.

However, she said that instead of other cars letting the car cut into the lane, they would instead speed up and close the gap instead of letting them in, even honking at the car for trying to turn in.

The netizen then recounted an incident where she was signalling to change lanes because there was a car stopped in front, but the driver behind her gesturing angrily at her.

She also asked in her caption if these behaviours stem from Singaporeans’ kiasu syndrome.
