HDB RESIDENT NOT HAPPY WITH NOISE FROM FUNERAL DOWNSTAIRS, “THERE ARE BABIES HERE”

In a recent Facebook post, a disgruntled resident of an HDB estate expressed frustration over a funeral procession that allegedly disrupted the peace of the neighborhood.

The resident empathized with those mourning but called for consideration due to the disturbance caused by prolonged and loud music.

The post highlighted the resident’s concern for the presence of babies in the neighborhood and the adjacent Build-To-Order (BTO) flats.

According to the post, the funeral procession involved blasting music that permeated through all floors, even with doors and windows shut tight, lasting for over an hour.

An update in the post mentioned that the police had received several calls regarding the issue, and, according to the authorities, the extended loud music was deemed unacceptable.

The resident emphasized understanding the solemnity of a funeral but urged those involved to be more considerate, suggesting that playing loud music during the departure of the procession would be more appropriate than doing so while stationary for an extended period.
