The team were training on their road bikes when a 4×4 vehicle collided with them. The incident took place by Lebuh Raya Kuala Selangor (LATAR).

They were cycling on tandem bicycles, accompanied by an escort van when a 4×4 vehicle came out from one of the exits. All but one suffered a suspected broken leg, while the others only escaped with minor injuries.
