A boy was beaten by his father over a remark which landed the father in jail for a year, with a bail of $20,000. The boy suffered two facial fractures as well as bruising on his body.
The father was going through a divorce with his wife, but she was still staying in the same house as them. The boy and his mother would stay in the same room. The incident took place when the father was upset with his son’s grades in school, which made him upset. After a round of drinks, the father went to talk to his wife about his son. The son, who was in the same room said ‘You like that woman more than us, why do you care for us so much?’
This enraged the father, causing him to beat his son. The wife tried to block his punches but she end up being hurt herself. The incident was seen by their domestic helper, who then called the police.
