MAN SAYS THAT INSURANCE AGENTS LIKES TO SHOW OFF ALOT ONLINE TO COMPETE

A Singaporean recently posted on the HWZ forum stated that there is high peer pressure in insurance agencies in Singapore.

He stated how they would thank their leader like a cult and try to entice you to push for sales by showing you fancy cars and houses.

Here is the full story.

Does anyone of you have friends who are insurance agents?

I have a few. And I saw their IG stories, always posting such stuff

– going for xxx appt
– positive quotes only
– thank leader and worship like some cult
– always linking something back to the insurance

New agents usually have an orientation when they just join, or some kind of training camp. In the end, usually they have to present what they want to achieve. I saw IG stories before, on the slides, sure have these items

– expensive car
– condo
– expensive watch
– exotic holiday
– rich retirement

It’s an industry where materialism manifests itself at the very core

The entire insurance industry is operating in a systematically and fundamentally wrong way. Agents’ principals are the company, not the customers. How to act in the best interest of the client?

Makes me feel like they’re Insurance agents are trying compensate for something. Happy people don’t need to flaunt.

Personally, my opinion of them drastically drops. I always had a weird gut feeling about people who needed to flex. It always rubbed me the wrong way. Oh wowie, you have money? Congratulations, good for you, but so what?

There is a huge difference between talking about how happy you are because you’re financially stable in your insurance career and are able to live a good life and flaunting all your cash and assets around. One is a means and the other an end.
