It was a normal day for me, driving for Grab as usual. I normally pick up passengers and take them to their destination uneventfully.
On this day, I received a Grab booking and I was asked to pick up a passenger from a City Square mall.
As I arrived at the pick-up point, I saw the passenger waiting for me.
He was a FT and he looked quite young. I opened the door for him and he immediately got into the car.
The first thing he did was to put his leg up on the dashboard, as if it was his own house. I was quite taken aback by his behaviour and asked him to take his foot down as it was not appropriate.
He just ignored me and continued to put his leg up on the dashboard.
I was getting quite frustrated at this point and asked him to take his foot down again. This time he responded and reluctantly moved his foot off the dashboard.
I was relieved that he had finally listened to me.
It was a long drive and I was getting quite bored. To make matters worse, I noticed that the passenger had started to put his foot back up on the dashboard.
I asked him to take it down again, but he just ignored me.
I was getting quite angry at this point and asked him why he was doing this. He said that he was just comfortable like this and he has the rights to do so since he paid the Grab fare.
I was quite shocked to hear him say this, but I knew that I had to maintain my composure.
I tried to explain to him that this was not his own car and that it was not appropriate to put his foot up on the dashboard.
He still did not listen and continued to put his foot up on the dashboard.
At this point, I was getting quite angry and I had to take a deep breath in order to keep my calm.
I then asked him to get out of my car and he reluctantly obliged.
I was quite relieved when the passenger finally got out of my car.
