Viral Persona ‘Nanjing Red Sister’ Exposed as 38-Year-Old Man

The individual, known on social platforms as “Nanjing Red Sister” (南京紅姐), built a following by posting heavily filtered photos and videos of himself dressed as a woman. Often appearing in full makeup, wigs, and women’s attire, he allegedly used a feminine voice filter to lure unsuspecting men into private chats and eventually real-life meetings.

According to Chinese police, the suspect is in fact a 38-year-old man who had systematically arranged in-person encounters under the pretext of offering “free intimacy”. In most cases, he asked his targets to bring token gifts such as fruit or peanut oil as a meeting condition.

S-Tapes Secretly Recorded & Sold on Subscription Platforms

Once a meeting was set, he would invite the men to a private location where hidden cameras had been installed. The encounters—reportedly unprotected—were filmed without the victims’ consent. The footage was then uploaded to a paywalled adult content site and sold to subscribers.

Authorities have stated that at least 1,691 men may have been filmed, including university students, fitness instructors, and white-collar professionals. Some of the victims only realised the deception during or after the meeting, but chose to proceed with the act anyway. The widespread circulation of these S-tapes has resulted in multiple individuals being identified, leading to public embarrassment and emotional distress.

Police Investigate Possible Spread of STDs and Legal Ramifications

In a more serious twist, it has been alleged that the suspect may have knowingly had a transmitted disease (STD) and still engaged in unprotected S. If proven true, the case could escalate into a public health threat, and under Chinese law, he could face charges for endangering public safety, which carries severe penalties including a potential death sentence.

The investigation is still ongoing, and the actual number of victims is being confirmed. The case has stirred outrage online, fuelling debate around digital deception, privacy violations, and the unregulated nature of adult content monetisation in Asia.
