Indian Tourists Call Police on Pattaya Bar Girl Over Alleged Misleading Appearance
Three Indian men caused a stir in Pattaya after calling the police on a local bar girl, claiming she had misrepresented her physical appearance, particularly the size of her breasts. The incident unfolded at a hotel along Soi Pattaya 11, located in the Bang Lamung district, sparking a bizarre confrontation between the tourists and the woman.
Police Respond to Unusual Complaint

Officers from the Mueang Pattaya Police Station arrived at the hotel to find a Thai woman in her late 30s to early 40s calmly seated in a room with the three tourists. According to the men, they had met the woman at a bar and agreed to pay 3,000 baht for her companionship. They also paid a 1,000 baht bar fine deposit upfront. However, once at the hotel, they claimed the woman’s appearance under normal lighting was significantly different from what they had perceived at the bar.
The tourists were especially vocal about their disappointment regarding her breast size, accusing her of deception and demanding that police arrest her. The woman, visibly confused, denied any wrongdoing and said the men had willingly agreed to the transaction.
Dispute Over Payment Escalates
The bar girl explained that after arriving at the hotel, the men abruptly cancelled the arrangement, citing dissatisfaction with her physical features. When she requested the remaining 2,000 baht as compensation for her time, the men pretended to go exchange currency—only to return with police officers instead.
Eventually, police declined to take legal action and instead mediated the situation. The woman returned the 1,000 baht deposit, and both parties were advised to resolve their issues amicably.
Rising Reports of Tourist and Sex Worker Conflicts
This incident isn’t an isolated case. A similar dispute in February in Songkhla saw a Thai transwoman and her friend assaulting an Indian tourist over a cancelled service, resulting in theft charges. Such confrontations underline the risks involved in informal agreements and the increasing need for clear boundaries in Thailand’s adult entertainment sector.
Tourism and Law Enforcement in Pattaya
As Pattaya continues to attract international tourists, especially from South Asia, local authorities are finding themselves navigating complex encounters between visitors and those working in the city’s nightlife scene. Law enforcement agencies are encouraging both parties to act responsibly, avoid confrontations, and resolve disputes civilly.
For tourists unfamiliar with the local customs or seeking adult services, it’s essential to exercise discretion and respect mutual agreements. Misunderstandings can quickly escalate, drawing legal attention and tarnishing the holiday experience.
