According to Iskandar Puteri district police chief ACP M Kumarasan, the woman was arrested at about 12.15pm on 12 October — just two hours after a report was filed by a 47-year-old local man. Police investigations revealed that the victim, a 33-year-old Bangladeshi male, had suffered severe injuries to both his genitals and left hand.

The attack is believed to have been triggered by jealousy when the woman found out that her boyfriend was still legally married to his wife in Bangladesh. Officers also recovered a 29-centimetre knife at the scene, believed to be the weapon used during the assault.

Suspect Tested Negative for Drugs, Faces Serious Charges

Police confirmed that the suspect has no prior criminal record and tested negative for drugs. She has since been remanded for five days to assist in the ongoing investigation. The injured man is currently warded at Sultanah Aminah Hospital, where doctors are working to save his reproductive organs and stabilise his condition.

Authorities are investigating the case under Section 326 of Malaysia’s Penal Code for causing grievous hurt with a dangerous weapon. In addition, the woman faces charges under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act for staying in Malaysia without a valid permit.

A Disturbing Case of Love, Jealousy, and Violence

This incident has sparked intense debate online about toxic relationships and emotional instability among foreign workers. Social media users expressed concern over how jealousy can spiral into uncontrollable rage, leading to irreversible tragedy.

One netizen commented that such acts show how obsession can destroy both parties involved, while others urged better mental health support for migrants who often struggle with loneliness and emotional stress in foreign countries.

The disturbing case serves as a grim reminder that domestic violence and emotional breakdowns can happen anywhere — and without intervention, love can quickly turn into something much darker.
