Thai Woman Allegedly Runs Over Boyfriend After He Tried To End Relationship
A 42-year-old woman in Thailand has been accused of killing her boyfriend after allegedly chasing him down with her car when he attempted to end their relationship.
The fatal incident reportedly took place along Phahonyothin Road in Saraburi province on May 6 and has since sparked widespread attention across Thai media and social media platforms.
According to reports, the victim, identified as 38-year-old Apisit, was riding his motorcycle when the woman allegedly rammed into him from behind using a black sedan.
The impact reportedly sent him crashing into the windscreen before he was thrown onto the road.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after and attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Reports stated that he suffered multiple injuries, including a broken right leg and severe abrasions.
Woman Allegedly Admitted Chasing Victim
Thai media reports stated that the suspect, identified as Aree, later told police she had waited outside the victim’s accommodation earlier that day.
When the man allegedly tried to avoid her by fleeing on his motorcycle, she reportedly chased after him in her car before crashing into him.
Police reportedly found the victim’s motorcycle overturned on the road, while the suspect’s damaged sedan was discovered about 50 metres away. The vehicle’s bonnet and windscreen were badly damaged from the collision.
Dashcam and CCTV footage reviewed by investigators allegedly showed the woman intentionally driving into the motorcycle.
In another disturbing allegation, witnesses and police reports claimed the woman exited her car after the crash and repeatedly stepped on the victim’s face while he lay injured on the road.
The suspect later surrendered herself at Mueang Saraburi Police Station.
According to local reports, she allegedly told rescuers at the scene to take care of the injured man before informing them she intended to turn herself in.
More Than S$35,000 Allegedly Spent During Relationship
During police questioning, the woman reportedly said the victim had been a close friend of her late husband.
Following her husband’s death, she allegedly received a life insurance payout and later entered into a relationship with the victim. The pair reportedly lived together for around eight months.
The suspect claimed she had spent more than 1 million baht — approximately S$35,300 — supporting the victim financially throughout their relationship.
She allegedly accused him of having a violent temper, insulting her regularly, and drinking heavily.
According to her statement, problems began after her money started running low. She claimed the victim became distant, stopped answering her calls, and spent less time at home.
Victim’s Sister Claims He Was Previously Threatened
The victim’s older sister reportedly told police that the couple argued frequently and that her brother had wanted to end the relationship.
However, she alleged the woman refused to accept the break-up.
The sister also claimed the suspect had previously threatened to kill the victim and had once chased him with a knife during an earlier dispute.
Police in Thailand are continuing investigations into the case, with jealousy and financial disagreements believed to be possible motives behind the fatal incident.
