Stage 3: The Slow Burn (The Fattening)
This isn’t a “get rich quick” pitch. These scammers are patient, often messaging their targets for months.

The Red Flags to Remember:
- Unsolicited Wealth: If they are constantly proving how rich they are without being asked, they are selling a dream, not sharing a life.
- The Investment Pivot: Any romantic interest that transitions into “financial advice” is a scam 100% of the time.
- Refusal to Video Call: While they send voice notes and photos, they will often make excuses to avoid live video chats where their identity could be truly verified.
