A funeral procession attended by around 30 family members and friends has sparked heated online debate after it was held for a 22-year-old BMW driver who died in a high-profile crash that claimed the lives of five people in Johor.
The incident, which has dominated headlines in both Malaysia and Singapore, involved two luxury vehicles allegedly travelling at high speed before tragedy struck along the Kluang–Simpang Renggam highway.
Photos and videos of the funeral convoy circulated online shortly after the final send-off, triggering a wave of criticism from members of the public who remain angered by the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.

The funeral procession reportedly took place on June 5 and was attended by approximately 30 relatives and friends.

Some commenters argued that their sympathy remained with the innocent victims who lost their lives in the crash, particularly a family of four who were travelling in another vehicle when the collision occurred.

Four Members Of Same Family Among Those Killed
Authorities previously revealed that the deceased 22-year-old was driving a BMW 530e, while his 19-year-old younger brother was behind the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz A250.
Police investigations indicated that both vehicles were allegedly travelling at high speed shortly before the collision.
According to investigators, the BMW lost control, crossed into the opposite lane and collided with multiple vehicles before ending up in a ravine.
The devastating crash resulted in the deaths of five people, including the BMW driver himself.
Among the victims were four members of the same family travelling in another vehicle. Several others, including children, suffered injuries.
The younger brother survived the crash and remains under investigation.

The university student, who is reportedly studying in Singapore, has been remanded to assist investigators. Authorities have confirmed that he tested negative for drugs.
