In a social media post shared on June 18, the restaurant expressed gratitude to customers who have supported the outlet since it first opened its doors in 2013. The closure comes as Plaza Singapura undergoes redevelopment works.

The restaurant described the decision as a difficult goodbye, saying the outlet had been the backdrop for countless family gatherings, celebrations and memorable dim sum experiences over the past 13 years.

Last Day Of Operations Set For July 12

According to Tim Ho Wan Singapore, the Plaza Singapura branch will officially cease operations on Sunday, July 12, 2026.

The outlet will operate until 5pm on its final day before permanently closing its doors. Customers who have fond memories of dining at the branch are encouraged to visit before its final day of business.

The restaurant also thanked customers for being part of its journey and reassured diners that they can continue enjoying its signature dishes at its remaining outlets across Singapore.

End Of An Era For Long-Time Diners

For many Singaporeans, the Plaza Singapura outlet was their first introduction to Tim Ho Wan’s famous Hong Kong-style dim sum offerings. Since arriving in Singapore in 2013, the brand has built a loyal following with dishes such as baked barbecue pork buns, steamed dumplings and rice rolls.

The announcement quickly sparked nostalgic reactions online, with many social media users expressing sadness over the closure. Popular local deals page SG Deals and Freebies also shared the news, commenting that it would be sad to see the outlet go.

While Tim Ho Wan’s departure from Plaza Singapura marks the end of a significant chapter, the brand’s presence in Singapore will continue through its other locations islandwide.

For customers who have visited the branch over the years, the closure serves as a reminder of how certain dining spots become more than just restaurants, evolving into places where families gather and memories are created over time.
