As 31-year-old Tatsanai lay outside the burning nightclub waiting for medical assistance, she reportedly turned to her boyfriend and asked, “Am I still beautiful?”

The tragic moment was later recounted by her boyfriend, Phitsanu Nim-mian, who said she was in immense pain after managing to escape the inferno.

According to local reports, Tatsanai told him she could no longer endure the pain before asking whether she was still beautiful.

Boyfriend’s Response Moves Many

Phitsanu said he immediately reassured her and told her not to worry about her appearance.

He told her:

“Focus on getting treatment first. No matter what happens, I accept everything. Just come home safely and be with the children. Nothing else matters.”

His response has since resonated with many online, with netizens praising his devotion and concern for her wellbeing over her appearance.

The couple share two children together.

Escaped Through Flames

The fire broke out shortly after midnight on July 13 at the Na Ladprao nightclub in Bangkok’s Chatuchak district.

At least 27 people lost their lives while more than 60 others were injured in one of Thailand’s deadliest entertainment venue fires in recent years.

Tatsanai had been at the nightclub with colleagues from the cosmetic clinic where she worked. Her boyfriend had dropped her off earlier that evening before returning home to care for their children.

When the fire erupted, she reportedly managed to escape the building by running through flames after finding the exits overcrowded.

Witnesses reportedly helped extinguish the fire burning on her hair before emergency responders arrived.

Family Seeking Accountability

Doctors say Tatsanai remains in critical condition with burns covering large parts of her body.

Her family has called for a thorough investigation into the tragedy, especially following allegations that emergency exits may have been inadequate or inaccessible during the fire.

Phitsanu said entertainment venues should have more clearly marked emergency exits and questioned reports suggesting an emergency door may have been locked.

He said if such allegations prove true, those responsible should be held accountable.

Back at home, the couple’s children continue asking when their mother will return.

For now, Phitsanu said he can only reassure them that their mother is still working and that he will bring her home as soon as possible.
