The incident occurred during an early lunch hours at the FoodHub coffeeshop located at Block 496 Jurong West Street 41. According to an online account shared by the affected patron, the coffeeshop was relatively empty when she noticed an individual seated one table away displaying erratic behavior.

The man allegedly maintained continuous eye contact with the patron while experiencing visible head twitches. The situation escalated when the individual reportedly began pacing around her table in a hovering manner. Sensing potential danger, the woman promptly secured her personal belongings, including her mobile phone.

The encounter took a direct turn when the man abruptly seated himself at her table, maintaining a direct stare. Choosing not to engage or acknowledge his presence, the patron continued eating in silence until the man vacated her table and returned to his original seat, where he reportedly sustained his gaze.

Attempting to document the encounter safely, the patron managed to capture a distant photograph of the individual, citing concerns over his erratic behavior and potential safety risks before quickly finishing her meal to leave the premises.

The series of unusual events did not end at the eatery. Upon exiting toward a nearby POSB Automated Teller Machine (ATM), the patron observed a second separate incident involving an elderly man aggressively shouting at the banking terminal as if engaged in a verbal altercation with the machine.

Fearing further disruption, the patron returned directly to her vehicle and departed the location to return to her workplace without further incident.

Her story:

“I ordered a drink and waited for my food at the coffeeshop 496 Jurong West Street 41, FoodHub, I was early for lunch at the kopitiam is still quite empty, then this weird looking guy sitted 1 table away keep stare at me and twitch his head at the same time, then he started walking around hovering my table, i quickly kept my phone from the table (instinct, i knew something was up) then ignored, he suddenly came sit at my table and stare at me. I continue eating like he was not there and I did not answer him.

He went back to his table and continue to stare at me. I quickly finish my food and leave. I manage to take a photo far away as I don’t know if he is siao lang or pervert I dare not take it up close.

Just when I was leaving, I went to the nearby POSB ATM, there was a uncle shouting to the ATM like he having argument with the machine. I was like “I am so out of here”, went back to my car and went back to office. “
