
CNB conducted a series of raids against drugs since the start of this year, on the 2 January 2020, officers from the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) arrested a 39-year-old Singaporean male along Pasir Ris Drive 1 under the suspicion of drug trafficking.Â
Officers followed the 39-year-old from Woodlands Drive 50 all the way to Pasir Ris. His car was raided and the following drugs were found
- 2,009 ‘Ecstasy’ tablets
- 4,000 Erimin-5 tablets
Follow up raids at the suspects unit was conducted and cash amounting to S$16,250 was found.

After CNB arrested the first suspect a follow-up operation was continued next morning and another 23-year-old suspected drug trafficker was arrested at the vicinity of Lorong 16 Geylang. The suspect was then brought to a carpark at Woodlands, a car containing the following drugs were found
- about 60g of heroin
- 854g of ketamine
- 8.6kg of ‘Ice’
- 2,800 ‘Ecstasy’ tablets
- 2,919 Erimin-5 tablets

Preliminary investigations from CNB revealed that that the 39-year-old suspect had picked up the drugs from under the car parked at Woodlands Drive 50. Where the 23-year-old suspect had earlier left them.Â

 “Investigations into the drug activities of both suspects are ongoing. The estimated worth of the drugs seized in this operation is about S$1.1 million. The 8.6kg of ‘Ice’ seized is sufficient to feed the addiction of about 4,900 abusers for a week. “
