ROBBER PRETENDS TO BE CUSTOMER AND RAN OFF WITH GOLD CHAIN AT BUKIT MERAH

The incident happened on 7 March 2020 at around 3.42 PM at Bukit Merah Blk 164. An Indian man believed to be in his 30s tried on a gold chain at Tiong Sun Goldsmith & Jewellers.

After putting on the gold chain, he ran off with the gold chain. Although the staff tried to chase the man but failed to locate him.

The male staff member described the man wearing a grey shirt and jeans and immediately chased after seeing him running out of the shop. A woman in the coffee shop also witnessed the man running away.

The man had not threatened or used weapons to threaten him, and the golden chain that was stolen was worth more than 3,000 yuan.
