
Following the lockdown in Thailand, many of the popular markets had closed temporarily as part of the measures to fight COVID-19. However, the situation in Thailand improved. The markets that were affected are set to re-open on the 09 May 2020. This includes the tourist hot spot Chatuchak Weekend Market.

The markets will be re-open with additional measures in place make sure that the COVID-19 situation remains under control.
These measures include:
- All Visitors to wear a face mask and observes social distancing at all time.
- Temperature screening stations to be set up at all entrances.
- Hand sanitizer provided.
- The number of shoppers allowed in a store is limited between 5 to 10 depending on the size of the store.
- Food vendors with seating to make sure all table is set up at least 1.5 meters apart.
The operating hours are limited to 5 am to 6 pm
