425 MORE COVID-19 PATIENTS DISCHARGED, 1 ADDITIONAL COMMUNITY CASE

According to the Ministry of Health media release, there are another 425 COVID-19 patients discharged. This had brought the total number who had fully recovered to 2721.

Break down of 876 cases:

  • Imported cases: 1
  • Cases in the community: 4 (2 Singaporeans/PR, 2 Work Passes)
  • Work Permit holders (residing outside dormitories): 11
  • Work Permit holders (residing in dormitories): 860

In General, new cases found in the community had decreased, from an average of 11 per day to 9 per day in comparison to the previous week. The cases among work pass holders out of dormitories decreased as well, from an average of 9 per day to 8 per day in comparison to the previous week. However, the number of cases found in dormitories remains high.

According to the Ministry of Health, 98 percent of the new cases are linked to existing clusters while only 2 percent are pending contact tracing.

In summary, 1097 confirmed cases are still in the hospital with most of them in stable condition and 22 in the intensive care unit. 19,498 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. 20 had passed away due to the COVID-19 infection.
