MAN CHARGED FOR ASSAULTING LAW ENFORCERS

According to a media release, a 60-year-old man was charged on the 15 May 2020 for multiple charges including assaulting 2 law enforcer.

The man faces 11 counts of different charges which include 5 counts that are related to breaching the circuit breaker measures. He was caught not wearing a mask at different locations such as Block 101, Towner Road and Bendemeer Market and Food Centre.

The accuse is also involved in 2 separate cases which involve assaulting and verbally abusing. Earlier this year on the 07 Feb 2020 he was involved in an incident where he attacked 2 auxiliary police officers at SGH.

On the 12 April 2020, he verbally abused a senior manager form the National Park Board for asking him not to rest on a bench which was sealed as part of the covid-19 measures. The man then decides to vandalism the bench which resulted in a $200 damage.

After the court hearing, he was caught again for meeting a man at a bus stop along Stamford Road. According to the media release, he will be remanded at IMH for psychiatric observation. He will be back in court on the 29 May 2020.
