According to a FB post from user Muhammad Farhan on the 21 May 2020, a bunch of maggots were spotted wiggling inside the cover of the CCTV of the lift. There was a foul smell in the lift.

” NEA, HDB, Town Council..i understand you guys are very busy but could you guys please look into this matter..Email and call but still till today theres maggots in the lift cctv..plus it stinks!!Please do something abt it..Digusting tau!!!”
According to a media release, Tampines Town Council had informed that the maggots had been removed and the CCTV was dismantled and cleaned. However, little bugs can be seen on the ground of the lift.
