MAN CHARGED FOR PROVIDING CARPOOLING SERVICE DURING CB

According to the media release, a 53-year-old was charged after violating the circuit breaker regulations while providing carpooling services. The man was charged for leaving his residences without any valid excuse.

He was caught on the 22 Apr 2020, after being pulled over by traffic police, his vehicle was seized by the police on the same day.

He is not only risking his own health and safety but risking the health and safety of his passengers as well.

The man intends to plead guilty to his charges next month.

According to the law, anyone caught breaching the circuit breaker regulation will face a jail term up to 6 months or fine up to $10,000 or both. He will also face a jail term up to 6 months or fine up to $3,000 for driving with a public service licence.
