7 PEOPLE TO BE CHARGED FOR GATHERING AT ROBERTSON QUAY

Six men and one woman will be charged in court on Tuesday (June 2) after being filmed gathering at Robertson Quay earlier this month.

The seven individuals, aged between 30 and 52, will be charged for contravening the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020.

Photos of many people gathering outside bars and restaurants consuming alcohol went viral. Sparking investigations by the URA and police.

“We urge both the public and business operators to continue to play their part in adhering to the safe distancing measures that have been put in place,” the URA said on Saturday.
