MAN WANTED TO DIE, RECOVERS FROM COVID-19 AFTER DOCTORS REFUSED TO GIVE UP

According to a media release, a 67-year-old COVID-19 patient shared his experience while fighting the virus. He has recovered after 53 days of battle with the virus.

The man was diagnosed with COVID-19 virus on the 11 April 2020, he was warded into Singapore General Hospital Intensive Care Unit. His lung has been infected and required a ventilator to help him breathe.

The virus has weakened his immune system causing him to suffer from kidney failure. The doctors had to put him under anaesthesia.

He doesn’t want to live anymore

At a point of his treatment, the man told the doctors that he wanted to die and he does not want to go through the pain anymore. However, the doctors did not give up on him and continue to treat him.

According to the patient, his family is the one that kept him motivated to continue to battle with the virus. After his condition got better, he was transferred to a general ward and rehabilitation centre and has fully recovered after 53 days.
