Li Guo Zhong, 46, who previously owned a car business, was jailed for 10 months after facing charges for a total of 5 thefts.

Li robbed a supermarket several times and he was unconsciously stealing items that was useless to him. At that point of time, he had both business and family problems. But he did take the initiative to seek treatment at the Institute of Mental Health.
These were the items that he stole:
- He pretended to be a doctor and sneaked into a clinic to steal cough medicine
- He stole sockets and switches worth more than $42 from a hardware store in Geylang
- He stole 10 cans of milk powder worth $867 from a supermarket
Li has expressed remorse for his actions and he hoped to seek medical treatment at the Institute of Mental Health.
