22 Y.O MAN CHARGED FOR CHEATING LAZADA S$86,000

According to a media release, a 22-year-old man will be charged today (19 Jun) for his suspected involvement in cheating. The accuse has allegedly cheated the online shopping platform Lazada for a total more than S$86,000

The police were alerted on 16 Jun 2020 for suspected fraudulent activities on Lazada.

After investigation, the police managed to identify the accuse and put him under arrest on the 18 Jun 2020.

Initial investigation revealed that the accuse is an online seller at Lazada, he has posed as a buyer in an attempt to cheat Lazada of more than S$86,000.

During the arrest, the police had seized multiple laptops, a mobile phone and 2 credit cards.

If convicted, the accuse could face a jail term for up to 10 years and fine.
