
Weddings
As part of a controlled resumption of activities in Phase 2, namely key life events such as weddings and funerals, the Multi-ministry Task Force announced easing of restrictions.
Weddings and marriage solemnisations will be allowed with a maximum of 50 people from August 4 onwards, this number includes the couple but excludes the solemniser and vendors.
Home solemnisations, the Registry of Civil and Muslim Marriages (ROM/M) Building, and the areas operated by ROM will be allowed maximum 10 people.
Masks are required to be worn by the attendees at all times as well, except the bride and groom who may wear face shields instead. Although masks can be temporarily removed for phototaking.
Consumption and sale of alcohol will not be allowed after 10.30pm, likewise, self-service buffets are not allowed at all.
Funerals and wakes
A maximum of 30 people are allowed at funerals and wakes at any one time, subject to capacity limit, which is increased from 20 at the start of Phase 2.
