MAN BULLYS CLEANER AND ALLEGEDLY THREW PLATE AT HER

According to a media release, a 44-year-old man will be charged in court tomorrow (05 Aug) after he allegedly threw a plate at a cleaner in a hawker centre.

The incident happened earlier this year on 05 Feb 2020 at a hawker centre located at Boon Lay. The police were alerted in regards to the incident.

According to the police, the man has allegedly pushed the cleaner and caused her to fall onto the ground. The man will be charged with using criminal force and voluntarily causing hurt to others.

According to the law, if convicted the man could face a jail term up to 3 months, fined up to $1,500 or both for using criminal force. He could also be jailed up to 3 years and fine up to $5,000 or both for voluntarily causing hurt to others.
