In a Facebook post earlier today (August 4), the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) said that a 64-year-old Singaporean man was arrested in Clementi yesterday (August 3) for suspected drug activities.
Drugs, including Heroin and Ecstacy tablets worth about $30,000 found hidden inside two pumpkins were seized.
CNB said that their officers were deployed near Clementi Avenue 5 to observe the man, who was seen bringing a basket containing vegetables up a residential block in the area, in the evening.
He was subsequently arrested when he returned to the ground floor and a total of about 0.4g or Heroin, 1g of Ice and cash of S2,276 were seized by the CNB officers.
A search was then conducted in his residence (in the same block) and two pumpkins used to conceal about 240g or Heroin and 500 ecstasy tablets were found, as well as 0.3g or Heroin, 0.5g of Ice and other drug paraphernalia.
At the time of writing, investigations are still ongoing.
