Deadline reported that the popular animated cartoon Spongebob Squarepant’s best friend Patrick Star will be getting his own spinoff show on Nickelodeon, who are reportedly finalizing deals for the show.

The spinoff show will purportedly by called: “The Patrick Star Show.”
Voiceover recordings for the TV show have reportedly commenced and it will be a 13-episode series.
The show will follow the format of a late night talk show as well as a comedy podcast.
The new series will feature largely new characters will occasional appearances from the current Spongebob Squarepants cast.

Patrick Star is voiced by Bill Fagerbakke, who also played Marvin Eriksen Sr in How I Met Your Mother.
