An Orchard Road restaurant registered which was registered with JWB Food Pte Ltd was fined $2,000 and suspended for 10 days after allowing 20 customers to gather in their private room.
The restaurant did not ensure that each group of customers kept a safe distance from one another.
When law enforcement officers came to conduct an inspection, a group of more than 20 customers was gathered in a private room in the restaurant. Restaurant staff was unwilling to cooperate with law enforcement officials, and their attitude was unfriendly. The staff of the restaurant even tried to prevent officers from entering the private room as well.
In addition to violating the safety distance regulations, the restaurant even allowed customers to drink alcohol in the restaurant after 10:30pm.
