
Peh Kok Wah surrendered to the Thai authorities after being on the run for 11 years after stabbing a girl on the face in 2008. He stated that the hoped for a fresh start in life on a farm in Thailand. Therefore he decided to surrender himself.
He was arrested when he arrived at Changi Airport on Aug 20 last year.
The 40 year old man was sentenced to six months jail for voluntarily causing hurt with a screwdriver. It was believed that the attack took place in 2008 when he was 28 years old. He stabbed his ex-girlfriend’s friend’s face with a screwdriver as he felt that she was the reason why his ex-girlfriend broke up with him.
Peh stated in court that he had started a new life with his girlfriend and her family at a farm in Thailand, and he hopes to be able to return to be present for his son’s next birthday and to marry his girlfriend.
