AIR GUN SEIZED BY ICA @ TANJONG PAGAR SCANNING STATION

According to the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), four air guns were seized at Tanjong Pagar Scanning Station on the 06 Sep 2020.

The ICA officers conducted a check on a container of products after noticing anomalies in the scanned images. The items were declared to be toys and household items. The case had since been handed over to the Singapore Police Force for further investigations.

The same method of concealment may be used by terrorists to smuggle arms and explosives to carry out attacks in Singapore. The ICA will continue to conduct security checks at the checkpoints to prevent attempts to smuggle in undesirable persons, drugs, weapons, explosives and other contrabands.”
