
A 67-year-old woman was reported being involved in a traffic accident while she was doing her groceries shopping on the 3 Sep 2020.
The incident happened on the in the early morning around 6.25 am at Woodlands in front of Block 508 HDB flat. The woman was later conveyed to Khoo Teck Puah Hospital for treatment. The woman suffered from multiple fractures in her hands, feet and pelvis. It is believed that the woman has only 10 per cent of survival rate.
On the other hand, the motorist only suffers from minor injuries as compared to the woman. The rider then apologised to the woman’s family after what had happened. According to the rider, he was not speeding at the time of the incident. However, the statement of the rider remains questionable as no brake marks were found on the scene to proof the rider’s statement.
The woman’s daughter then took it to social media to appeal for more information in regards to the accident. She was hoping to find out the truth and seek justice for her mother.
The rider was later arrested by the police for dangerous driving and the police investigations are ongoing.
