8 PEOPLE FINED FOR BREAKING SAFE DISTANCING RULES IN LITTLE INDIA

Composition fines of $300 were issued to 8 people over the last two weekends in Little India for failing to comply with safe distancing regulations.

The Singapore Tourism Board has stepped up checks on places popular with tourists by deploying more enforcement officers and safe distancing ambassadors during the peak periods.

However, no bazaars were allowed this year, althoug some stalls were permitted to extend their “footprint” out onto the street to accommodate the burgeoning crowds.
