Three men and two women aged between 19 and 34 were arrested in a 2 days operations conducted by the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) on 16 and 17 Nov 2020.
Suspected Drug Trafficker Arrested
On 16 Nov 2020, a 34 year-old-man was arrested around Somme Road. During his arrest, 37g of “Ice” and 11 “Ecstasy” pills were found in his possession. While raiding his hideout, 1,276g of “Ice”, 342g of “Cannabis”, 46g of “Ketamine”, 161 “Ecstasy” pills, 18 “Erimin-5” pills, 6 LSD stamps, and a bottle of liquid that was suspected to contain GHB were found.
$14,000 cash were also recovered.
Another 25-year-old man linking to the man was also arrested the following day around Yishun Ring Road. An “Erimin-5” pill, 20 “Yaba” pills and 10 “Ecstasy” pills were found in his possession.
$4,250 cash was also recovered.
Balestier Hotel Raid
In a separated operation on the 16 Nov 2020, a 25-year-old man and two women 19 and 24 were arrested in a hotel located at Balestier Road.
During the arrest, the man resisted violent and force was needed to take him down. 1g of “Ice”, a bottle of liquid suspected to contain GHB and a Karambit knife were found on him. The authorities later found 2 watermelon knives, a parang and a baseball bat in the man’s car.
Investigations against the 5 individuals are ongoing and the value of the drugs seized in the 2 days operation was estimated to be worth $410,000.
